It's falling now because it doesn't deserve to be the daily feature so people are going to zero the heck out of it. I really don't care because I don't frequent NG as much as I used to. The only reason it was so high before was because nobody really watched it.

Daily 4th is still impressive by most standards. Even if the democracy failed the popular opinion is that it deserved better, which says more than any number or icon.

I feel like I have to make another comment. Just like you (well not as much as I am just a viewer/player) was shocked to see that you only got a daily 4th award, as you can read in my post in the thread P-Bot's Daily Picks. There has been one submitter (thegames8) who puts up bad copy paste flashes that get an insane amount of high votes/view ratio but horrible 0/1 star reviews and I guess that they also vote down other flashes. The flash Run Raptor Rider is another flash of this submitter just uploaded with yet another account, who most likely uses mass voting to generate ad revenue. The issue is known to the staff and I think it's safe to say that there will be action against those accounts soon. It's unfortunate that your flash suffered from it and was even placed below "How to eat a pickle" ( I guess it didn't suffer as much since it was submitted later) but I will vote for your flash in the monthly voting and I am sure that you will get a monthly award since I doubt that those mass vot bots(?) are used there.
